Payne County Line Promotions, Stillwater, OK. Announces 2007 Oklahoma Music Awards.
The results of the month long voting for the 4th Annual Oklahoma Music Awards sponsored by Payne County Line Promotions were released today in Stillwater, Oklahoma, by Stan Moffat, CEO of Payne County Line Promotions. Payne County Line Promotions is a company that promotes Oklahoma Musicians and Artists to the world via quality web services plus hosting the only Oklahoma Music Awards on an annual basis, all free of charge to the artists and musicians. Since its inception, PCL has had over 100 million hits on it’s site and now has contacts in most states and over 40 countries around the world.
“In this 4th year of hosting the statewide Oklahoma Music Awards, the voting was very zealous and heavy especially in the last two weeks”, said Stan Moffat, owner of Payne County Line Promotions in Stillwater, OK. Moffat went on to state that the voting volume increased by another 10% this year with the total number of votes nearing 1.8 million votes, from all 50 states and 32 countries around the world. The voting process is unusual in that only one vote per ISP address and that one must download a PDF ballot and actually fill in the name of those the person wishes to vote for and then send the ballot in electronically. “This is not a standard computer vote till your finger hurts vote, but a very good cross section of those who truly love and have knowledge of the music industry in OK and the many excellent artists from this great state”, Moffat went on to say. There are 108 categories and one must receive at least 25 votes to be officially nominated for the award. This year there were almost 1375 which missed this simple mark. There were 801 nominated in the 107 areas, and the list is truly best of the best, the 107 who won their respective areas. Moffat announced that in 2008, the 5th year for the Payne County Line Oklahoma Music Awards, there would be an awards event held to honor the best of the best with the top entertainers performing. He stated, “Many bands and artist have already made their intentions known and want to be ‘on stage’ if they win!”
Moffat closed with the following statement, “It is a very extremely moving experience to work so intimately with our great Oklahoma artists, musicians and supporters. They are truly a unique treasure inside Oklahoma and just as those that preceded them rose to national prominence, there are new acts rising to the top, and will achieve national acclaim during Oklahoma’s 100 year anniversary.”

Awards Announced Today...
PCL has the Oklahoma Music Awards certified.... and the results are known and we are about finished filling out award certificates.... and will try to have same posted online today by 3pm, earlier if we can.
Congrat's to all the winners. This year was biggest yet in lots of ways... most votes, most rounded, most genre represented, and next year will be even bigger due to the new contacts from this year!!!
It is an honor to host these awards and if you did not win this year, we will do it again in just 10 short months.... Jan. 2008 will be the 5th year to host these, and there will be an awards show to announce the top winners.
We are going to try to work with the nice folks at Coffee Creek and see if we can set aside a weekend to showcase most of the winners from this year, so if you are interested and you won... contact us ... hopefully we can find a weekend when most are free and we can let you know early enough to set aside the dates. This should be one awesome show. We have decided to add 5 areas to the voting due to voter response this year and they are unannounced awards and will be presented on this special occasion. We found that the voters had some great ideas about some things that were not mentioned and many had the same idea... so keep in mind the fact that at this showcase there will be 5 awards presented that are very deserving.
All for now... got to get back to work...
rock on and keep making OK one of the best 'proving grounds' for great music in America! Stan Moffat, PCL
